As years have gone on it's great to see new generations of ravers coming through, all sharing the same passion for Underground dance music. Camo MC presents 'Rave Etiquette' - a rave rulebook, reminding the younger generations how to have a good rave!
In the rave, too often - pre covid, of course. F*** Boris - would we experience those aggressive crowd pusher-inners, people grabbing women inappropriately, getting toooooo wasted or just general dick behaviour. New Zealand DnB Artist, Camo MC, presents 'Rave Etiquette' to educate those individuals and gets them ready for the 21st Ju---- oh wait, another f*** up from Boris, 21st July 2021!
And so, the 'Rules of the Rave' were born. Noxious Records and Camo MC join forces to bring you 'RAVE ETIQUETTE'. Release date: 6th July.
The rules are as follows....
'When moving to the front, tap them shoulders be nice'
'Please don't come in agro'
'Treat the girls with respect'
'Only fill the rave up with good vibes and energy'
'Don't get too cooked'
'No need to act like a dick'
'Don't genre hate'
'Look after each other'
All very strong and positive rules that ANY raver should rave by.
The 'Rave Etiquette' idea first started out as an online post that very quickly went viral. Camo MC then called on the help of Bristol based legend, Octo Pi, and put the 'rules of the rave' into a song. The end product: a filthy bass heavy roller by the name of 'Rave Etiquette'
To go alongside the epic 'Rave Etiquette' single, Camo has created a series of positive vibe DnB anthems to lift the spirits of ravers worldwide, and he's joined by some of the biggest and best producers and MCs in the world.
Manual, Starz & Deeza, Conrad Subs, Y-Zer, Trafic MC, Dub Majesty and MC J.O.K all join the movement! You could not have asked for a more star studded DnB line-up.
Track list:
1. Camo MC & Octo Pi - Rave Etiquette
2. Camo MC, Conrad Subs, Y-Zer & Starz & Deeza - Drum & Bass Saved My Life
3. Camo MC, Manual & Trafic MC - I Wanna Be at A Festival
4. Camo MC, Dub Majesty, MC J.O.K - No Ego No More
'Rave Etiquette' is all about good vibes and positivity and is without a doubt Camo's biggest release yet. The subject matter is diverse. Spanning from Camo's love for festivals to his struggles with mental health and sobriety and how DnB helped him with this. Alongside all of that, without losing the central message of calling out people bringing negativity and ego into the DnB scene.
In a world that, right now, is full of darkness, uncertainty and negativity, it is a project that seeks to spread love, light, and positivity. Fun, deep, and unapologetically honest, this is an essential release for any DnB head worldwide.
